Open Question: Itchy bumps on scalp and body? Is this scabies?

My husband broke out in a rash about 7 mo ago It started when he was sleeping on a mattress on our living room floor (I was preg & had to sleep in a chair) It started out as a few bumps on his scalp but now has spread to his body (mostly on his collarbone & lower back) & just recently he is getting clear, blisterlike bumps on his hands They are mostly on his fingers or the top of his hand but not in the webbing The other is a pimplelike rash that he says itchies like crazy The bumps look almost like chicken pox He went to the Redimed about a mo. after they started cus his head was getting really bad & the dr didnt even look at him & said it was scabies We both did the treatment of the 5% prem & washed our bedding & clothes It did nothing to help 2 weeks later he went to our family dr & he said it was not scabies & gave him some liquid steroid to put on his head & lotion for his body He said he thought it was overactive oil glands That didnt help either so he went to the derm He agreed with the fam dr that it was not scabies but he thought it was a bact infect but thought the bumps on his head were diff from his body He pres Doxecycline They seemed to help get rid of the bumps on his head but did nothing for his body He had a 25 day pres & within a few days of the pres running out the bumps on his head returned He went back to the derm & he gave him a different pres of Erithomyason (not spelled right) at 400mg 3X a day He mentioned to the dr that he seemed to itch worse when he was home & asked if maybe it could be an allergy This is what I thought because when the bumps start they look almost like hives & u can actually watch them pop out He said he still thought it was a bact infect & that the pills should kill anything in him He took the pills for like a week & the itching got worse We dont know if he was allergic to the pills or what but he had to stop taking them He had been going crazy with itching He went to an allergist cus we didnt know whereelse to turn The allergist didnt think it was an allergy though we did find out that my husband is allergic to dust, mold, grass & weeds He thought it was a non-contagious parasite & gave him the scabies cream to use again & another pres for the pills he was on the first time He said he didnt think it was scabies because no one else had any bumps Ive been trying to research on the web to see what it could be & I couldnt find anything about non-cont parasites They all seemed to be contagious which makes me think that it is not a parasite My husbands bumps seem to be on his chest/stomach area and the small of his back & of course his scalp He doesnt seem to have them in the typical areas that scabies seem to be & from what I read adults dont usually get them on their scalp He did the 2nd treat of the scabies cream & then did it a third time 2 days later (per dr inst) We again washed the bedding & clothes & I even vacuumed the mattress & sprayed with lysol spray Still no help The allergist was surprised he really thought that would take care of the problem He referred him to his a derm He went the following Tues to see her & she took a biopsy of one of the newer bumps & gave him a pres of Prednisone within a few days the itching stopped & the bumps started to go away He had an appt to get his results 2 weeks later The Pred ran out a few days before the appt & the itching returned & the bumps came back even worse At the appt the dr said the biospy came back as a bug bite but she was not sure what kind As far as I know they did not find a bug or eggs or anything What makes them sure it is a bug bite? Can a biopsy be wrong? My husband asked if she would put him back on Predn since that got rid of the itching & bumps but she said no because it was not healthy for him The bumps have now spread onto his chin area, where they never were before She gave him a pres for Allegra 2x a day & a mixture of Aveeno & Sarna lotion which he is to put on his entire body 2x a day This was just last week & we go back next Wed Since she didnt know what kind of bug it was & our son & myself have not had anything yet (knock on wood) she told us to switch sides of the bed & see if that helps cus the air cond is on his side She thinks it must be something that his is more sensitive too That doesnt make since to me though since they started in Feb when we werent using air & he wasnt sleeping in our bed We decide to have him move into his parents house for a week to see if that helps He moved on Fri & he said that he doesnt seem to itch as much but he is still getting new bumps on his fingers & once in awhile on his trunk area I first thought it might be dust mites because I know some are more sensitive to them but then I read that they dont bite so now I dont know We do have a dog but he is on flea med & I have looked him over & do not see any fleas His is a shorthaired, white dog so they are pretty easy to see I am so sorry to make this so long but I just want to know if anyone else has had something like this & what it was or if anyone has any suggestions for us. He is miserable plus it is making me paranoid everytime I get an itch or a bump I wondering if I am getting something. Thank you, Amber

I FREAKIN HATE THEM!! Open Question: How to get rid of flees?

About two weeks ago I noticed a few flees on my dog. I instantly went to the vet and they gave me front-line. I gave him a bath outdoors and applied the treatment. Well the biggest problem was my dog had been in the house. So I spent 10 hours bleaching my home, washing all bedding and vacuuming. I kept a close eye on the issue. Last week I noticed my daughter were getting these little red bumps, so I decided it was time to use a flee bomb (Adams brand). I bombed my house, treated my carpet, bedding and EVERYTHING. Since then I have washed everything in my house including bedding, rugs, carpets, curtains. You name it I have cleaned it. Well this morning I noticed a flee on my daughter. What in the world can I do? I NEED to get rid of these damn things. I can not take it. I'm ready to pack my things and move out. Please share any tips, tricks or advise you may have. Open Question: How long does defrosted vacuum sealed meat/fish last in fridge?

I defrosted salmon and chicken in my fridge. Both the salmon and the fish are in their own vacuum sealed packets that they came in while in the store. After I brought them home, they were never exposed to room temperature and were frozen. They have been sitting in my fridge after being defrosted for 2 weeks. Are they safe to eat because they're vacuum sealed or am I really taking a risk?

I'm in India and I don't know much about spiders. I've heard that brown widows are found in the american continents but I have also been recently discovered in South East Asia. The other day there was a little brown spider with a medium sized abdomen. I killed it because I have 2 cats and they will eat absolutely anything. I also saw a black version of this spider. Open Question: Why is my mom doing this to us?

I think my mom hates my little sister than I. She hits us for every little thing we do. If I don't shut the pantry door, she will drag me into the kitchen and punch/kick me over and over. My little sister spilled soup all over herself and my mom said she had butter fingers and took her to the drawer and slammed her fingers in it. She broke 2 fingers. One time my mom pushed me down my stairs and I broke my arm really bad and wouldn't take me to the doctor until 3 weeks later. It was terrible. Resolved Question: Are my parents being unreasonable?

So I am 22 and living at my parents’ house to finish up my degree and work to save up money to move back out again, but my parents want the house clean AT ALL TIMES. It’s a long weekend, so my dad doesn’t have to work, so he’s been cleaning and vacuuming compulsively since last night, and making me do the same—pick up EVERYTHING from my floor, arrange all my shampoos in the bathroom, etc. haha. I mean I’m hygienic, I always throw my trash out and don’t keep food in my room or anything, but keeping my room organized is just something that’s foreign to me haha. But just wanted to know, is it unreasonable that my parents make me clean like crazy, or does it make sense on their part? I do live at home, but like I said, I’m finishing school and working. I pay my own bills and for a lot of my food as well, but not rent. Yeah, i get the "their house, their rules" thing. calm down...i'm not complaining at all, just wondering if it reasonable for them to be acting like that.

ive been with this family for 1 year, 5 months & they really are ridiclious. they went on vacation for basically two weeks of my pay, didnt tell me the dates until the day before they were leaving........ so when i come back i sit at their house for over an hour while she grocery shops with the son. [yep she decided to go JUST when i started heading to her house] and i was a little upset about the missing pay, etc. so i got interrogated she asked me all these questions...do you still see ur therapist? [had anxiety before] and shes like is ur therapist going to give u medicine?? wtf? Then she said I dont want you coming into work like this, YOU UNDERSTAND? < Just like that. Uh excuse you? I am 20 years old, not 14. THEN if that isnt enough..when i go to leave her husband harasses me. He asks me if im okay..im like yes, i was just tired today. he kept asking me over and over , then hes like "sweetheart, if something is wrong tell me" Uh, ew. THEN the real annoying is "Are you pregnant again?" [I had a miscarriage in Nov :(] What in the hell? How is this ANY of their business? They didnt seemed concern to me, more like NOSY and rude. Now i find they have an ad out looking for a new nanny and didnt tell me. Not only that it says after 6 months they off a week of vaca. okay then i shouldve been paid one of the weeks they went out of town for cuz i dont take vacation! basically the mom has always been a ****** to me. i mean i try to discipline him and she allows him to run to her and get his way [hes 3, and she works from home so shes there a lot] get a load of their new requirements ha! 1) Provide a loving, positive, active, learning environment for our children (lots of book reading, imaginary play, music, blocks/puzzles/games, daily outdoor play/trips, swimming in our backyard pool) 2) Teach manners and discipline through positive reinforcement and time-out 3) Drive children to/from various activities such as swim class, zoo, preschool, etc... 4) Run household errands as needed 5) Perform household cleaning such as laundry, vacuuming, dusting, and keeping kitchen/refrigerator/and living areas clean, tidy and organized 6) Let out dog and cat as needed and clean litter box daily or take dog for short walk if asked 7) Prepare nutritious lunches for children 8) No TV watching and very limited computer use is allowed while in our home 9) No other children or people are allowed to accompany you to our home (sorry, no exceptions if you have a child) they have a newborn. so 2 kids, all this stuff..running the kids around with NO gas reimbursements. they want u to do all this for $10 an hour. i got treated like i was their maid, thank god im getting out of there
