Open Question: How can I compost effectively? :(?
I work out of town, so I am gone for a month in January, March, May, June, September, and often parts of July and August... but I eat healthfully and feel guilty every time I toss a rind, a piece of rotten fruit, banana peel, etc.
My understanding is that when you start a compost pile, you add it to soil where nothing has been planted yet, but everything I have is planted.... Roses, garden boxes, hosta garden, mint, herbs, etc...
Can I keep something like this (http://www.arbico-organics.com/product/em-compost-container) in my laundry room and just spread it in with the soil where my roses and plants are already planted and growing?
Because I'm not home that often, is there a different way I can recycle food waste besides composting?
Also, I live in a cold weather climate, so I can't be incorporating compost all year while the ground is frozen. Help! :)

Resolved Question: where do companies buy ingredients they use to make products that they sell.?
For example, the little beads that are in a lot of body products these days; where do they get those lil beads? the salt or the fragrance that they use in body scrubs; where do they get the salts and fragrances in those body scrubs that they sell? can i buy from those same places to make my own at home? if people were able to make their own products im sure it'd save a lot of people money and would emphasize health standards- a lot of products that are on the market these days are full of junk which is really unhealthy for the human body.. ironically, organic products can be very expensive and hard to find on retail for average middle class people of inner cities like me..

Resolved Question: what can help me with greasy oily scalp?
I always had alot of hair but since my early teens I've been very harsh on my hair and scalp. From dyeing, bleashing, perms, etc and sometimes not even hair product that I used. But the issue I've always have since little girl is that I have very greasy and oily scalp. and sometimes using some shampoos will give me dandruff.. yuk... so luckly I havent been getting dandruff but I need to wash my hair everyday and sometimes more then once because I can smell the bad odor from my hair. For example I wash my hair style it with a flat iron add some anti-freeze product and it smells clean then at the end of my 8hr shift I can smell the odor coming from my hair/scalp. and even if i wash my hair and dont put any type of products it will still smell in a few hours. What can I do???... Do I need to do that wash my hair constantly for ever??.... or is something I can used to prevent the smell and gresyness and oilyness??... for the past year I have been using a organic shampoo and conditioner and it has work wonders in the way of shinny managable and healthy but the rest is still there... I dont want to use something it will dry my hair or even damage... I'll rather do some home-made mix to help me... I need help!

Resolved Question: Need someone to review this essay?
Is composting an efficient way of reducing trash?
Draft 2#
Garbage is an arduous task troubling communities across the country, but it’s peculiar why the situation hasn’t yet to be resolved. It takes an ingenuous idea for these issues, even though they do not get acknowledged for. They involve the participation of a community to contribute with waste removal. One of the many efficient ways of reducing garbage consumption is composting, because twenty-six percent of landfills are occupied by organic waste.
It is not unusual to wonder what composting is, and how it improves with garbage consumption. It is a technique that has been practiced by farmers for centuries . From the foods consumed by average American families, to the clipping of flowers, everything organic can be added with a compost bin. The next steps involve adding worms, oxygen, and eventually allowing the decomposition process to happen by turning it over; with enough time, the compost turns into fertilizer . The fertilizer is the material used to add fertility to the soil, bringing life into it. Ultimately, it becomes used for the city and/or the residents personal uses.
Throughout nature, the process is played out by the decomposition of dead animals and plant life. The organic materials are broken down into their’s simplest states, to then be absorbed back into the Earth. It’s purposes got manipulated by man, having it’s first accounts sited since the Roman Era. It’s practices were used by peasant farmers who needed to fertilized their soil. Similar to today, the whole process is done either indoors or outdoors, and is still known to be an efficient way of fertilizing soil for.
Just recently, quiet a few companies- such as Nature Mill- have been trying to exploit this practice and make it user friendly. Typically many eco friendly Americans either dump their waste in a compost bin in the back yard and allow it to decompose, but this device allows the whole process to happen in the home. The whole process happens in a matter of weeks instead of the prolonged period of time that it takes The price for these type of products start high, but eventually decrease when it’s in high demand.
In conclusion, composting has been doubted by many Americans because their reluctant to have it as a permanent solution. It takes dedication to allow the accumulation of unwanted materials to decompose in either a person’s home or backyard. The practice of it has been used throughout the world, having it’s main usage used by farmers. In the present day, it has been slowly matriculating into the commercial market and does have potential. Composting is only one of the many ways of reducing a persons garbage load, yet it still will take more creative and innovative ideas for a permanent solution.

Resolved Question: What can I do for my cat?
Well, my fiances sister moved out and left her cat but said she would be mad if we get rid of him.(which pisses me off, but that has nothing to do with this) He vomits alot, maybe every day, or every other day, and he is allergic to fleas and flea products. (collars, sprays, that neck stuff and shampoo) She brought him to the vet before she left and they put him on something called prednisone (sp?) and it did nothing... and then she left. I want to find him a new home, someone who can afford to take him to the vet and find out what is wrong with him and fix it, because honestly, we cant. We already have two cats, two rats and a dog that have regular vet visits and we cant really afford another. My fiance says we need to keep him and that he is fine. I guess that he doesnt want to fight with his sister, but if she wanted him that bad she would have found an appartment that accepts cate. The cat cant be happy throwing up all the time, and Ive shaved him down, which seems to keep the fleas away but he still has some sores. I just dont know what to do! I love him and dont want him gone, but he needs someone who can afford the special digestive food, and can afford tons of blood work or whatever he needs to get better. Does any one know anything I can do?? Please. Some organic flea stuff, or something to help his digestive system.
Also, please dont tell me to get rid of him. He doesnt technically belong to me and its up to my fiance what he does with him because his sister left him in his care. Thank you.
Oh, Andy G.. obviously you did not read what I wrote. I said I love him and I want to find someone who can help him... so maybe I have a heart AND a brain... what about you?
Ive switched his food many times. I have him on science diet sensitive stomach food now.
